In 2003, original members Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty reformed the Yardbirds:
They recorded an album on Steve Vai's Favored Nations label on which a bunch of guitar heroes, including Steve Vai and Joe Satriani and former Yardbird Jeff Beck contributed:
