The actress and performance artist Ann Magnuson is also the lyricist for Bongwater, and her co-conspirator is the producer and noise-slinger Kramer. Bongwater piles up junk-culture references, funk basslines, heavy-metal fuzztone guitars and a general air of free-floating anarchy; the band takes nothing seriously, including its own irreverence. Bongwater is part of a quintuple bill that begins at 9 tonight; it should go on sometime after midnight. Admission is $10."
