from "Glass Finger's Big Bad But Beautiful Book of Beefheart Bootlegs - Volume #1" (Apocalypse) / 1993 :
"
1993 Euro (allegedly Italian) CD Crazy Little Things on Triangle PYCD 080. Says: "source: recorded at Cowtown, Kansas City, April 22 1974 - a rare early fm broadcast" - this was a quad broadcast of the concert - at the start someone is saying "for his first time in Kansas City... would you welcome Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band". Performance, like all the 1974 tour with the Buckwheat band, is not great but Beefheart's singing and apparent good mood compensate for that. After doing a lack-lustre Mirror Man they work thru' the Unconditionally... cuts and then after 8 long mins of This Is The Day Beefheart suddenly yells really loud in his Howlin' Wolf voice "I saw his little girl!...", a woman in the audience screams and they rip into a 13 minute Blues Jam with Keep On Rubbing and Be Your Dog."
