random notes
2009 01 08 - from the blog
The
Maximalist! ensemble released at least two albums, of which at least one was a
CD.
"What
The Body Does Not Remember" was composed from january to may 1987 in Italy
in close relationship with the work process of Wim Vandekeybus and his actors /
dance group.
It's
minimalistic stuff. Maybe even a bit too minimalistic for my taste, but it's
still good. The pieces are written by Thierry De Mey and Peter Vermeersch.
Peter
Vermeersch later started X-Legged Sally and The Flat Earth Society, hence the
presence of this album in the United Mutations files.
