shusha
Born in 1940 in Teheran, Iran, Shusha moved to Paris, France, at age
16 to study oriental languages and philosophy. It was the training as an
opera singer that made her decide to become a professional entertainer. Shusha
relocated to London in the mid-1960s, and released her first album in
1971. Her fourth album included Don Van Vliet's 'This Is The Day',
reissued in 2001 on cd. Besideds making music, Shusha also wrote
books and made documentaries.
