Dweezil and Ahmet are now starring in a series of ESPN
baseball commercials called "It's Time to Play
Hardball." Anyone familiar with ESPN commercials know
that they are always very funny, and these are no
different. They run The Big League Detective Agency, and
are contacted by a number of pro players and managers.
I believe you can actually call the number (toll-free)
which is advertised and hear a recorded message from
them. The number is 1-888-BGLEEEG. I haven't tried

Ahmet was on the Adam and Joe show for about five minutes last Friday; they
were going through his record collection, and found some VERY criminal
records - Adam and The Ants, and Songs from The Muppets. This latter CD led
to the rather bizarre spectacle of Adam, Joe and Ahmet vocalising over the
classic mi-na-mi-na song.

My room mate rented "Children of The Corn 5" this weekend just because he
noticed in the video store it had Ahmet in it. Sure enough, he's in there, and
he gets killed in the first 15 minutes of the movie. I thought for sure he
would play a psycho..
But wait, there's more!
Diva was in it also! She's not listed in the opening credits that I saw, but
she plays one of the "Children Of The Corn" that comes after one of the heroes
of the movie with a drill. She get's blown up when a blow torch flame hits a
puddle of gasoline!!

I was just watching an old 'Rosanne' episode.
date: immediately after FZ's passing i assume
becky's boyfriend (becky is one of rosannes kids) lived in this
apartment with this funny guy who happened to be AMHET ZAPPA! and there was
an FZ poster on the wall too! it was from the back of 'them or us' i think,
with zappa and the green pot holder.
Then at the very end of the show after the credits there was a black
screen and for a second it read
then it went to commercial.
he died right when they were taping or when it aired i bet.
it was a nice nod to him though..

Subject: Re: [azdz] Tour dates on zappa.com
The band SNMNMNM is the band Ahmet performed with last Saturday. I don't think he is "touring" with them or someone (Ahmet or his girlfriend) probably would have mentioned it. My guess is that the family is just helping to support them. If I hear otherwise, of course, I will let the list know.

I recently discovered that Ahmet Zappa is the co-host of a new show called "Robotica" on the Science Channel.
It's similar to the old "Battlebots", but the robots now have to run an obstacle course and perfor certain manevers for points in addition to trying to destroy the other robot.
