In 2002, Conductor Jonathan Stockhammer worked with the Ensemble Modern, performing works of Frank Zappa.
He did a series of concerts with the ensemble, as well as a recording session that resulted in the "Ensemble Modern Plays Frank Zappa - Greggery Peccary & Other Persuasions" album.

February 2011, Jonathan Stockhammer directed the PMCE and David Moss, performing "The Yellow Shark. Get Ready To Zappa. The Roman Concert."
